As the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, the Treasurer shares information on the financial picture of Association; represents budget and finance perspective in the Board discussions; and advises Board on appropriate process to vet programs from a financial perspective. In consultation with the President, the Treasurer plans joint Board/Budget and Finance Committee meeting at Midwinter. Treasurer’s three key functions include financial management through ensuring that programs and services are produced in a cost-effective manner & developing financial policies and procedures; budgeting and reporting through developing annual PHASA budget and present financial reports to PHASA Board and Annual General Meetings; and lastly coordinating PHASA’s fundraising activities, including chairing the Endorsement and Sponsorship committee that reviews and approves all sponsorship requests.
