PHASA 2015 conference: Limited bursaries now available

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Our theme this year is ‘Health and sustainable development – the future’. We invite authors to submit abstracts online by no later than 20 July 2015.

ABSTRACT MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

The Scientific Committee is offering mentorship for PHASA members particularly emerging researchers and students to support the writing of a good abstract that will enhance the chances of success. PHASA members interested in mentorship should contact deon.salomo@mrc.ac.za on or before the 4 May 2015.

ABSTRACT WORKSHOPS

PHASA will be hosting workshops in order to assist members to prepare abstracts. As is the case with mentorship, the workshops will aimed at students and inexperienced researchers. Dates and venues for the abstract workshops will be advertised in due course.

SATELLITE SESSIONS

Satellite sessions are invited for the conference. The Scientific Committee will review applications submitted. Deadline for submissions is on or before 20 July 2015.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

Parallel workshops on a diverse range of topics will be offered on 7 October 2015. Should you wish to host a workshop, please complete the on-line application on or before 20 July 2015.

STUDENT SYMPOSIUM

All undergraduate and post-graduate students who are interested in public health are invited to attend. The aim of the event is to create an opportunity for students from across Africa and the world to meet with each other and with experienced public health professionals. Join us to see how you can carry public health into the future!
