The Francis I Proctor Foundation at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the Departments of Ophthalmology and Epidemiology and Biostatistics seek a highly qualified faculty member to support our commitment to advancing ophthalmic research. The goal of the Organized Research Unit at Proctor is to perform innovative clinical trials and methodological research in the fields of global eye health and infectious and inflammatory diseases. The faculty member will be expected to perform biostatistical consultations for ocular research, participate in the randomized controlled trial data coordinating center at Proctor, and pursue their own funded research program. Area of concentration should be consistent with current goals of Proctor, which include: RCTs, molecular epidemiology, causal modeling, infectious disease transmission, and other innovative methodological areas. We anticipate hiring at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor level with faculty step and salary commensurate with the candidates experience.
Qualified candidate must hold a PhD degree or equivalent in biostatistics, statistics, biomathematics, or mathematical epidemiology, along with experience in the fields of global eye health and infectious and inflammatory eye diseases.
