ART Adherence Club Trainer

In 2015, MSF will be providing training and mentoring support for the implementation of the ART adherence club model outside of the Western Cape. ART adherence clubs are a quick service option for groups of up to 30 stable ART patients to receive their care and treatment to support long term retention in ART care. The Club Liaison and Training Officer will be responsible for the National ART adherence club roll out team which will provide training and mentoring support to DOH and GFATM recipient partners on the implementation of ART adherence clubs at primary healthcare facilities and community venues in their districts.

Education, experience, knowledge and skills:

Matric Certificate essential, 3 year undergraduate degree in social sciences or teaching, HIV and ART treatment literacy short course, courses in training and mentoring an advantage. At least 1 year experience in teaching and/or mentoring, experience in partner engagement, experience with implementing or managing ART adherence clubs and advocacy an advantage Fluent in English and one other local language. Essential computer literacy (word, outlook, excel and internet). Good communication skills. South African citizen or a valid South African work permit.
