The College of Health Sciences aims to improve the demographic representation of academics in its Schools. As such, the College wishes to appoint academics who will contribute actively to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning, research and community engagement, and who will serve as role models and catalyst for transformation of Academia within the College of Health Sciences.
Positions are available across all disciplines within the College of Health Sciences. The academic level of the successful incumbent will be determined during the selection process in line with the University Senate-approved criteria for academic promotions which is available on the HR Vacancies Website – http://vacancies.ukzn.ac.za/Home.aspx
The successful applicants will report to the Academic Leaders in the respective Schools.
The successful candidate/s at Lecturer level will be expected to complete a PhD within 5 years of date of assumption of duty.
A brief statement of motivation regarding the applicant’s aspiration to become an academic and a researcher must accompany the application.

The remuneration for medically-qualified applicants in relevant College-approved disciplines, will be determined in terms of Department of Health OSD Salary ranges.
