Right to Care is a Johannesburg based non-profit (section 21) company with national coverage. Right to Care delivers and supports the provision of quality health care through innovative approaches that are responsive to health care needs.
The Clinical Trainer and Mentor will train and mentor personnel working in correctional services on the management of HIV/TB and related diseases. Travel throughout South Africa may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Training and mentoring on HIV/AIDS, STI’s, PMTCT, MMC, TB, MCH and other chronic disease management comprises 90% of the job
- Training assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Daily Administration Required
- Research: Keep abreast with present developments in the field of HIV/AIDS, STI’s, PMTCT, MMC and TB through: ME’S, Ward rounds, Journals, HIV Clinicians Society, Conferences/Workshops, On the job training
Requirements:
- A Diploma in Nursing (General, Psychiatry, Community) and Midwifery or equivalent
- Diploma in Nursing Education or equivalent
- Adult & Paediatric HIV Management Course, PALSA PLUS/PC 101 and IMCI trained
- Other: MMC, MSM, LGBTI, Peer Education, Rape, PEP
- Proficient in English and Local Language
- Computer literacy – Power Point & Microsoft word.
- 2 years’ experience in Nursing Education and/or 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Instructor
- 1 year experience in HAST Implementation – MUST have implemented care, treatment and support to HIV, STI, PMTCT, Paediatric & TB infected patients

- Moderator Training
- Mentorship Training
- Curriculum Design and Development experience
