The Division of Community Health, Stellenbosch University, Cape Town, South Africa will be offering the short course on Randomised Controlled Trials (RCT) from July – November 2014.
The course will enable participants to understand the methods of and prepare a protocol for conducting a RCT to answer a clearly defined question of their choice.
The course is offered using a combination of contact time in the class and self study using an online learning management system. The course will commence on 17 July 2014. Dates for contact time:
Students are required to follow the self study guides and participate fully in the course by completing self-assessments, quizzes and participate in online discussions. Participants are required to complete assignments during the course and write an examination at the end of the course.

Cost: The costs (course fees) of student participation through Makarere University will be funded through the Arcade project.
Makarere University students will participate in contact sessions via a video link and will not be required to attend the contact sessions in person.
