One of the hallmarks of the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is simultaneous and intensive engagement on the demand and supply sides of the market to improve access to medicines and diagnostics for patients in developing countries. CHAI’s global access programme works to address supply-side barriers to access to new diagnostic technologies to lower income countries, while CHAI’s country teams help governments understand the market, access lower prices, and facilitate the roll-out of new and improved products. Additionally, country teams work closely with governments to scale up and strengthen diagnosis, care and treatment programmes. In support of this activity, CHAI Swaziland is working with the Swaziland Health Laboratory Services (SHLS) to support the roll-out of new diagnostic technologies, as well as strengthen their equipment and supply management capabilities. Timely and reliable access to laboratory services is an essential part of the country’s commitment to increasing the number of people receiving high-quality HIV testing, care, and treatment services.
CHAI is seeking a highly motivated individual with outstanding credentials, analytical ability, and communication skills to support the CHAI Swaziland programme in its activities to ensure patients have access to high quality, efficient laboratory services by supporting the SHLS to develop financial and operational analysis on new product implementation, as well as supporting operational roll-out of new diagnostic services.
This is a nine month volunteer position.
