Update on the 10th PHASA conference

PHASA is celebrating its 10 year anniversary as an organization, and the upcoming conference theme ‘Dignity, rights and quality: Towards a health care revolution’ provides a ripe opportunity in  Polokwane, Limpopo, to engage in critical discussions, listen to dynamic presentations and partake in networking among colleagues.

On behalf of the PHASA Scientific Committee, we invite you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations, and  participate  in the workshops and satellite sessions. There are several proposed track themes (Policy Advocacy and Community Action, Public Health Education, Teaching and Training, Burden of Disease, Social Determinants of Health, and Leadership Legacy)  to name a few, however if you have suggestions for additional track themes,  please let us know!

The Scientific Committee Co-chairs include Professor Linda Skaal from the University of Limpopo, and  Dr. Julia Moorman from the  University of the Witwatersrand.

For further information you can soon visit the conference website. We look forward to receiving your correspondence and abstracts for the PHASA conference on 3-6 September 2014.

Best regard,

Professor Gail D Hughes
