4th SA TB conference

It is with great enthusiasm and a renewed sense of hope that we launch the 4th SA TB Conference (10-13 June 2014, Durban ICC) , which occurs while South Africa is in the midst of battling the worst TB-HIV epidemic in the world.

We have more TB in the world today than ever before!

To respond to this, we have organized this conference with three thematic tracks that address the key issues hampering elimination of TB from human society.

These are:

  • Detection and Prevention of TB
  • TB Treatment
  • TB Management

With the rollout of new molecular diagnostics and new TB drugs, we now bear witness to the dawn of a new age in the fight against TB. Meaningful impact will only be achieved with integration of all our efforts.

We call on everyone working in all spheres of TB-HIV drug discovery, clinical management, patient advocacy, government policy and the basic sciences to attend this meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you in Durban!

The deadline for abstract submission is 5 February 2014.
