1st African conference on key populations in the HIV epidemic

The conference will focus particularly on men who are attracted to men, persons who inject drugs and persons who sell sex, and aims to bring together actors who are involved in research and programming related to HIV and health with and among members of these societal groups in Africa.

Conference location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Dates: August 19-21, 2013

Conference co-organisers: Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) and the University of Oslo (UoO)

Call for abstracts: The conference will be multi-disciplinary and contributions are welcome from researchers, scholars, practitioners, programmers, policy-makers, and community-based actors with a wide range of backgrounds (e.g. from local, national and international agencies and institutions, civil society groups and organisations, and professional and academic disciplines related to public health, medicine, the social sciences and the humanities).

Abstracts must be submitted to: keypopulations@gmail.com by June 10, 2013.
