PATH seeks to appoint a District Project Manager, Maternal Child Health/Nutrition for the 5-year maternal child health and development project now on its second year, to be based in Sedibeng (southern region of Johannesburg, Gauteng). This project focuses on improving the health and development of children less than two years old in the Sedibeng district. The project will work in partnership with local health and social services departments as well as with nongovernmental and community-based organizations.
The District Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management and implementation of the project in the District. The successful incumbent will guide a team of technical and administrative staff and ensure that district-level project deliverables are met in a manner that is consistent with the project’s vision and strategy.
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in public health or a relevant discipline, a minimum of 5 years managing health and development projects in resource poor settings and demonstrated district based program implementation experience as well as experience working with district and provincial health officials.
