The NDOH has embarked on a consultation process started by the Minister of Health in his visits and road shows to the various districts; this was then followed by a letter from the Director-General: Health to GPs to test their levels of interest to participate in this project. Qualifying criteria:

  • Willing to perform sessions at designated NHI pilot PHC clinics

General Practitioners will be contracted through a national contract.

Individuals who meet the qualifying criteria need to express their interest by sending a brief profile indicating relevant District, location of their current practice, how much time they can give to sessional work and contact details to Mrs M Munsamy at or Fax: 012 395 8763.

Closing date 29/03/2013.
