10th Annual International Scientific Conference GLUK

The 10th Annual International Scientific Conference of the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK), Kenya, is scheduled to take place from April 29th to May 2nd 2013.

Our theme for this year’s conference is “Networking and Innovations for Health and development transformation.” We are accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations describing original work on any of the following sub-themes:

  • Networking in Community Health: abstracts will focus on community based health interventions, enhancing people’s participation in the interventions.
  • Networking in Food Nutrition and Economics Security: abstract will be on food security and economics interventions.
  • Innovations in Networking for development- abstracts will be on capacity building for health and development. May include 4 level capacity building framework, i.e., Individual, team, Institutional or systems and networks, where both process and outcome can be measured.

The format is that of a research-oriented conference with oral presentations that present innovative research not presented or published previously. Additionally, there will be symposia on selected topics, round table discussions, and capacity building sessions as requested and supported by interested stakeholders.
