The University of KwaZulu-Natal's Discipline of Public Health is offering a Graduate Programme, aimed at producing health professionals who are change agents in the field of public health.
The Programme consists of a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health and a Masters of Public Health, which emphasizes competence in, and the application of public health skills and knowledge in the work place.
An appropriate four-year bachelors or honours degree. Additional selection criteria are applied.
The curriculum is fully modularised, comprising of core, specialist and elective modules. Each module is examined separately. The qualifications are only offered on a part-time basis, with each module requiring an initial 2-3 days face-to-face contact at the beginning of the semester, and subsequent 2-3 days later in the semester.
Epidemiology and Biostatistics; Health Services Management; and Reproductive, Adolescent and Child Health.
