HEU 2013 Masters in Public Health course (Health Economics)

The Health Economics Unit 2013 Masters in Public Health specialising in Health Economics course final deadline for applications from South African students is 30 September 2012. [Please note: The final deadline for applications from international students was  31 July 2012.]

The HEU coordinates this programme, which is offered through the School of Public Health and Family Medicine at UCT.

The programme comprises course work and dissertation components. There are six compulsory modules (students must also take two elective modules):

  • Economics of health systems
  • Health policy and planning
  • Microeconomics for the health sector
  • Quantitative methods for health economists
  • Quantitative research methods
  • Theory and application of economic evaluation in health care
