The Institute for Health Measurement (IHM) is a regional entity in Southern Africa that provides consulting, implementation and program management services for health systems strengthening activities. IHM’s core expertise includes design and implementation of strategic information (SI) systems, routine and patient health information systems development, program evaluation and capacity building for SI. Our approach is to improve systems and processes, promote the use of local resources within the regional context while strengthening and promoting the use of Government systems. At the core of this group is the belief that Africa must utilize the health information generated from public health interventions in order to meet positive health outcomes of affected populations.
The Institute for Health Measurement is currently seeking Public Health Specialists interested in long and/or short-term positions for a USAID-Funded regional Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC). The Public Health Specialists will help provide various technical, operational support and professional services, tasks for USAID funded programs/projects in South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.
IHM will recruit Public Health Specialists for periods of 6 months to 3 years in length (exact lengths of assignments-TBD) for regional deployment during the period January 2012 through 2015. She/He will have expert experience in one or more of the illustrative categories of support services and technical/programmatic areas listed below.
