Jhpiego South Africa has been operating in South Africa since 1995 and currently works on two major projects which share a common goal of increasing access to high-quality HIV and AIDS services. Jhpiego SA has worked with groups from the community to the national level to build sustainable, local capacity through advocacy, policy development, and quality and performance improvement approaches. In addition to this, Jhpiego SA offers the necessary high-quality experience implementing HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs and effective management skills to successfully implement the “Strengthening Local Capacity to Provide Sustainable HIV-Related Care and Treatment Services” Program in South Africa.

The clinical MC Technical Advisor manages the day-to-day operation of project training activities to rapidly build sustainable capacity within Mpumalanga PDOH and Nkangala district to promote comprehensive MMC services as a primary prevention of HIV. The Clinical MMC Technical Advisor assists with adaptation of international best practices to local context and ensures consistent application of evidence-based practices across all project activities. He works closely with health care providers and health sites on assessments, skills development, site strengthening and quality assurance.
