2011 International Health Promotion Awards

URAC and the Care Continuum Alliance have partnered to present the 2011 International Health Promotion Awards; an opportunity to recognize, honor and share best practices that improve health care quality in a significant and lasting way.

The 2011 International Health Promotion Awards Symposium is scheduled to take place December 5-6, 2011, in Rome, Italy.

You can nominate a program in one of two categories:

  • International Community Health Awards honor organizations committed to health promotion and education, or disease prevention and care. This award is open to community and non- governmental organizations, charitable foundations, non-profit organizations, for-profit companies, and government agencies. To help continue these efforts, the chosen programs will also receive a $5,000 award.
  • International Workplace Health Awards recognize wellness and health promotion programs that optimize and maintain overall health and mitigate chronic disease risk in the workplace. This award is open to employers of any size, including for-profit companies, non-profits, and government agencies.

A panel of independent health care experts and policymakers will serve as awards program judges. The judges will evaluate entries based on the quality and impact of programs.

The deadline for nominations is September 16, 2011. Finalists will be announced prior to the symposium and will receive an all-expense paid trip to present and share their program at the URAC/ Care Continuum Alliance International Health Promotion Awards Symposium in Rome December 5-6, 2011. Three winners will be announced in each category, for a total of six global winners.
