Celebrating Innovative Health Management in the Public Sector – 2011

The University of Cape Town, Faculty of Health Sciences will be hosting a conference on health management in the public sector in June 2011. The title of the conference is Celebrating Innovative Health Management in the Public Sector.

The conference will focus on three Themes, each of which will be addressed in a series of presentations, panel discussions or facilitated debates. The three Themes are:

  1. individual experiences of effective change management;
  2. experiences of system improvement;
  3. and experiences of management and leadership support.

One of the key objectives of the OTFP (Oliver Tambo Fellowship Programme) is to foster a network of health managers and leaders that exchange information, experience, knowledge and best practice. The organisers believe that this conference will provide participants with a rich learning experience and that the conference is also a unique opportunity to further build strong and productive relationships among the members of the OTFP community.
