The University of Cape Town, Faculty of Health Sciences will be hosting a conference on health management in the public sector in June 2011. The title of the conference is Celebrating Innovative Health Management in the Public Sector.
The conference will focus on three Themes, each of which will be addressed in a series of presentations, panel discussions or facilitated debates. The three Themes are:
One of the key objectives of the OTFP (Oliver Tambo Fellowship Programme) is to foster a network of health managers and leaders that exchange information, experience, knowledge and best practice. The organisers believe that this conference will provide participants with a rich learning experience and that the conference is also a unique opportunity to further build strong and productive relationships among the members of the OTFP community.
Dates: June 29 and 30, 2011 (please note registration will be from 15h00 on June 28).
Venue: Garden Court, Eastern Boulevard, Cape Town.
Cost: The first 30 applications will enjoy a subsidised registration fee of R500 for the two days. For later applications, the registration fee is R1 000.
For participants requiring accommodation, a preferential conference rate of R750 per night has been negotiated with the Garden Court.
