District Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for Soul City

Job Description: The aim of this position is to co- ordinate and conduct monitoring and evaluation of district level activities as part of the Soul City’s HIV/AIDS and violence prevention campaigns (Onelove and PhuzaWize). S/he will be supported by the Soul City monitoring and evaluation section while working in 13 districts nationally.

S/he will:

  • Review and update monitoring and evaluation tools used at district level to track the Onelove and PhuzaWize Capmaigns within the organizations monitoring and evaluation framework • Train and support community co- ordinators in the completion and submission of community level monitoring forums
  • Ensure the accuracy, frequency and completeness of data reported by performing quality checks, on- site audits and feedback
  • Ensure accurate data entry, collation and reporting at community level
  • Liaise with community and district level services such as the CPF and clinics to identify local level data needs and data sources
  • Ensure feedback and reporting of monitoring and evaluation data at community and district levels
  • Participate in the evaluation of the campaigns at community level

Degree requirement: A post- graduate qualification in Public Health, Social Science and/or Epidemiology. The candidate will require quantative and qualitative research skills, monitoring and evaluation skills, project management skills and report writing skills.

Location of position: Johannesburg, Gauteng

This is a 12 month contract and you will be expected to work full- time.
