Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator for Mothers2Mothers

Job Description: The successful incumbent will be expected to:

  • Provide regional oversight of the monitoring and reporting systems in all 87 sites
  • Ensure accurate collection, capturing and reporting of programmatic data for assigned sites to Mothers2Mothers Head Quarters
  • Assist in the preparation of Monitoring and Evaluation sections of reports for donors and other stakeholders
  • Provide M&E related orientation, training and mentorship for Mothers2Mothers programme staff including Provincial Managers, Trainers, Site Coordinators, Mentor Mothers and other Programme staff
  • Contribute to promoting M&E capacity and sustainability in the assigned zones with M&E staff
  • Assist with other strategic information related to activities which involve data analysis and enhanced data use to inform programme improvements

Degree requirement: A Masters degree in Epidemiology, biostatistics, Public Health, International Health or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years specific M&E related work experience with HIV/AIDS is preferred. Experience with USG PEPFAR as well as other bilateral and multilateral donor M&E reporting requirements will be advantageous.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Xhosa are essential as well as experience in the implementation and management of M &E systems involving capacity building for field staff, monitoring and promotion of quality data.

Location of position: Western Cape, located at the Mothers2Mothers Head Office in Cape Town.

This is a 12 month contract and you will be expected to work full- time.
